Major Gift Program

The Artistic Director’s Council is a group that forms the intellectual and social heart of Manhattan Theatre Club.  With the opening of its Broadway home, the Biltmore Theater, MTC continues its proud tradition of bringing the best new plays – on Broadway and off – to New York audiences.

With its distinguished roster of members, the Council holds a unique position in the cultural community, generating excitement for the company, broadening and strengthening MTC’s base of support, and attracting new audiences. The Council is made up of contributors who make an annual gift of $10,000 to support MTC’s artistic mission. The Council joins the Board of Directors in supporting the efforts of Artistic Director Lynne Meadow and Executive Producer Barry Grove to present new works in innovative productions by the most talented artists working in theatre today.

Leader, $10,000

• Four complimentary tickets to all Biltmore, Stage I, and Stage II Opening Night performances and cast parties, OR four complimentary tickets to our special pre-theatre Patron nights with complimentary seated dinners featuring discussions with members of our artistic team
• Invitations for two to a post-show Patron cocktail party associated with one Stage I or Stage II production
• ENCORES! ® House Seat privileges - Through an exclusive partnership with New York City Center , you will have special access to purchase house seats to the beloved Encores! series
• Invitations throughout the year to specially designed activities and events in private homes
• Highest level of personalized service including access to Tony Award ® show tickets and house seats in New York and London
• Highest priority seating for Patron nights and special events
• Reserved Seating at Opening Night Cast parties
• A signed script by a playwright from the MTC season
• Complimentary copy of MTC’s Annual Report
• Leader listing in Playbill and MTC’s Annual Report

Director, $15,000

All of the above plus:

• Opportunity to entertain in your home with Artists and creative staff on behalf of MTC
• Invitation to a technical rehearsal at the Biltmore Theatre
• Opportunity to host a personal party at the Biltmore (rental fee waived)

Chairman, $25,000

All of the above plus:

• Opportunity to sponsor a single performance with mention in the Playbill program and a chance to meet the cast backstage.

Patron Program

Enrich your experience at Manhattan Theatre Club by participating in our Patron Program.  As a patron, you’ll play a starring role at MTC because the Patron Program provides our non-profit institution with its core support, helping fund our artistic programming, as well as our many education and outreach efforts. MTC Patrons experience our theatre, both on and off Broadway, as few others do:

• JOIN US BEHIND-THE-SCENES, interacting with actors, directors and playwrights.

• ATTEND PATRON PARTIES, dinners and other special events where you’ll meet MTC’s artistic team and production staff.

• ENJOY A HIGH LEVEL OF SERVICE and personalized attention.

• Socialize with savvy theatre lovers like yourself at all of our EXCLUSIVE PATRON EVENTS, including private receptions at our Broadway home—the gorgeously restored and renovated Biltmore Theatre.

All Patrons receive a complimentary pair of house seats (prime locations) for three MTC productions at the Biltmore and four productions at New York City Center. Patron benefits begin at $2000 and include a tax-deductible contribution to Manhattan Theatre Club. All benefits and privileges are offered on an annual basis and are renewable on the anniversary of the gift.

Young Patron Program

Manhattan Theatre Club’s Young Patron Program takes you into the action and into the excitement.  This innovative program is specifically designed for twenty-thirty somethings and offers you a unique opportunity to meet other sophisticated theatergoers through exclusive cocktail parties, dinners and other events. You’ll also get up close and personal with MTC artists and see engaging plays.  And all along the way, you’ll be providing valuable support for the company’s artistic and educational programs.  We hope you will join us this season as a Young Patron.

Young Patron Membership Privileges - $500

• Invitations for two people to two MTC productions
• Invitations for two people to two pre- or post-theatre parties with artistic guests
• Invitations for two people to a third Young Patron event
• Exclusive use of the Patron Lounge at the Biltmore and New York City Center with complimentary snacks and beverages, as well as private restrooms
• Exclusive Patron-only telephone line to exchange tickets or make reservations
• Discounts on additional tickets purchased to MTC productions (limited to 6 tickets per production; subject to availability)
• Discounts at the MTC store in the Biltmore Theatre
• Young Patron listing in Playbill

You may choose to accept only one ticket for all shows and events for an annual contribution of $300.

As a leading non-profit institution in New York City , MTC is proud to continue bringing new and contemporary work to the American stage. Income from MTC’s ticket sales covers only a portion of our annual expenses; therefore, we must rely on contributions from our family of donors to help us meet the goals of our diverse three-theatre campus.
