Special Nights On Broadway

In addition to Manhattan Theatre Club’s annual Winter Benefit and Spring Gala, MTC hosts a series of benefit events called Special Nights on Broadway, which raise critical funds for MTC’s leading work in the development of new plays and musicals.

Guests are invited to join us for performances of a number of exciting Broadway productions outside of the scope of MTC’s own season. For these events, we generally showcase plays and musicals written by, directed by or featuring MTC alumni as a way to follow the careers of artists whose work has graced our stages.

Special Nights on Broadway often include exclusive pre- or post-theatre events with guest artists from that nightís show. Highlights from past seasons include: a cocktail reception with Emmy Award winner Edie Falco, Academy Award nominee Brenda Blethyn and playwright Marsha Norman, following a performance of ënight, Mother; a reception with cast members of Nilo Cruzís Pulitzer Prize-winning play Anna in the Tropics, including Jimmy Smits and Daphne Rubin Vega; and dessert with Fiona Shaw and director Deborah Warner following a performance of Medea.
